PACKAGING | 2021

My first custom wine label for Willamette Valley Vineyards was for a limited new wine release with the name "Kayak". The goal of this wine was to convey an outdoorsy, adventurous and refreshing feeling. As an avid kayaker myself, I loved the concept. Some of my drafts were literal with illustrations of kayakers, while others played on the idea of water reflections in the name.

For the final design, I capitalized the name "KAYAK" to emphasize its palindromic nature and overlaid it onto a background of a kayak surrounded by water ripples. The water ripples also suggest a topographic map of the vineyards used to produce this wine.
